๐ŸŒฟ๐ŸŒ™ BABA YAGAโ€™S STORYTIME: THE FAIRY WHO TAUGHT HER CHILDREN TO HEAL ๐ŸŒ™๐ŸŒฟ

Come closer, my woodland dears. Tonight, we wander into the mountains of Wales, where a dark lake holds a story of love, sorrow, and healing.

Long ago, beside Llyn y Fan Fach, a young man met a mysterious woman upon the water. She agreed to marry him, with one condition: three causeless blows would send her back to the lake.

They built a life together and had three sons. But she understood the world differently. She wept at a wedding, seeing troubles ahead. She laughed at a funeral, seeing suffering ended.

Her husband could not always understand her. And, through gestures the storyteller describes as slight, the forbidden three blows came to pass.

Their happiness could not undo the promise.

She called her magical animals by name and returned with them beneath the water.

But listen carefully, little ones. There is more.

She later appeared to her children, sharing knowledge of healing plants. Her son Rhiwallon and his descendants became associated with the celebrated Physicians of Myddfai.

Imagine those lessons: a mother stopping beside a patch of green, kneeling close, teaching her children to look carefully.

This story found a tender place in my heart. Perhaps you recognize something in it tooโ€”the ache of being misunderstood, a deep belonging to nature, or love that finds a new way to reach those we cherish.

Tonight, old Baba Yaga leaves you with a question:

๐ŸŒฟ What knowledge would you most want to pass on to those you love?
